Handcrafted works of art met with art lovers in the "Reflections of Nature" exhibition

The special works prepared by the talented handicrafts trainees of the Büyükçekmece Municipality Public Academy throughout the year were introduced to art lovers in the end-of-term exhibition titled "Reflections of Nature". Büyükçekmece Mayor Dr. Hasan Akgün, 24th Term Deputy Süleyman Çelebi, municipal council members Yusuf Gösterici, Nurcan Kalaycı and Orhan Şahin as well as many art lovers from Büyükçekmece attended the exhibition opening. The exhibition, which opened in the historical Caravanserai and features original works reflecting the trainees' manual skills and perspectives on nature with many different techniques from ceramics to woodwork, from marbling art to traditional hand embroidery, will be open to visitors until June 2. Büyükçekmece Mayor Dr. Hasan Akgün and his wife Hatice Akgün, who attended the opening of the exhibition, visited the stands one by one and examined the works. Mayor Akgün, who thanked everyone who contributed, presented certificates of appreciation to the participants.

Mayor Akgün invited everyone to visit the exhibition and said: ''We opened the magnificent exhibition of Büyükçekmece Municipality Public Academy handicrafts together with our Büyükçekmece family. The products of our 1400 women and 42 teachers in 28 different neighborhoods alone in handicrafts are admirable. Magnificent products. You can't help but come and see them. I invite all my Büyükçekmece family and art lovers to this excitement and to watch these beauties until June 2.''
